This work is based on a compilation and adaptation of stories emanated during the exploration of a psycho-social phenomenon that today connects a considerable number of people of all classes and colors.

         By investigating and delving into this apparent flaw that points to something that is specifically unheard of, which would be; remembering fragments of life in a different way, different from the great generality of people.

        That’s right! To have loaded in the memory details with other forms and facts that are bluntly different. In short, that have never been, or that have happened in a different way.

        A varied package of issues, images and events that today is part of a modern concept that is popularly known today as the Mandela Effect. Which could be summarized by definition as; a group of massive false memories. But psychologically it is posed as «alternative memories», since by the fact of existing (even if they are erroneous); they cannot be false. Rather they would be strikingly different, given the fact that many insist on keeping them. And in reality there are thousands of people who distinctly do so – and here the particularity – in a synchronized manner and with great precision in detail.

      This particular fact today remains moderately underlying, and is the subject of study by a segment of psychology in this last decade (2012-2022), resulting in very few explanations and lately a wide debate in social networks and theories regarding the possible causes.

     This will be the encrypted code in most of the stories. A selection of collected testimonies, directly connected to the subject. From there comes the name of the project and these «Tales from somewhere else»; as an honest attempt to recreate these sensations and parallel descriptions, baked and coated in presentation of fantastic tales, which will border on the unreal, in matters relating to going beyond the established, near-death experiences, or other unusual cases that would shake any preformatted system that can be brought from the factory. And then finally, to suggest a healthy questioning that invites more than one person to reprogram their own versions.
